If so, then it shouldn't need any drivers what so ever.

Thanks for responding. I too thought that it would'nt need a driver. I visited the link that you sent me but found that it is a different model of card reader. I purchased the reader from a market stall but never thought to check if the software driver was with it. I sent the reader to my Son who is working on the Ascension Island, he has connected it to his laptop which is running XP but it asks for the driver to be inserted.
