I was hijacked by lop.com and had a terrible time with them. I finally got a free download off Ad-adaware at lavasoft.com a swedish company. They are the only ones who where able to help me. It is a free download and you can purchase an upgrade for individual persons for $26.00 USA currancy. The upgrade includes an ad-watch program that keeps an eye out while you are surfing the web. It keeps things away.
Unfortunately it was not able to help with a company that has used a fraudulent ID, of the company I work for (Ya...o), to trick me into downloading a "browser uprgrade," and now I am unable to download files from the web.

P.S. I am not sure of the exact web address of the lavasoft company. But I am sure it will not be hard to locate. They also have a security newsletter they publish once a month.
