part dual booting problem

my computer atempts to boot up from 2 window XP Proff. programs in the `start up`window, 1 will install fully,the second asks for another disc. I have been told to use run editc:\boot.ini, but what do I do then?

I have been having a terrible time trying to access this site via the `reply` tab. Have had to turn both off- PC Guard(Virgins new program),also my copy of `spybot`.No idea why they have blocked your site. You may be able to explain. At last I have mananged to get a result via the method suggested. edit c:\boot.ini. the computer reads;.Default = C:\$WIN_NT$.BT\BOOTSECT.DAT[operating system] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional C:\$WIN_NTS.
