AWC (Advanced Windows Care) chaos

I recently installed AWC and it is surprisingly effective in speeding up my old Dell Optiplex. The one downside is that it has knocked out my Samsung ML1510 USB laser printer. XP can't manage a reinstall and the port info is greyed out. Can anyone guide me to a fix? All USB leads go directly into the box, not through a hub.[/b]
