ntldr is missing

I built a pc as part of an exercise for college and 1 of my tasks were to delete the following files - NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and Boot.ini, i have tried to repair with boot disc there is no joy, i have copied the boot files NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and Boot.ini from another computer and put it on a floppy, it loads up windows with the floppy but when i take out the floppy it keeps saying NTLDR is missing.

Can any1 help me with this, I'm running on XP

I could tell you how to repair that error.
but i can see its a set task by your collage so i won't
for us to help you with that would be cheating

however i will point you in the right direction.
search your problem with microsoft help and support, everything you need to know or should know is there listed in the support pages.
when you do correct the error you can say you done it yourself by your own work.

have you used Hirens Bootcd to fix the ntldr file?
is which 1 do i use and how do i use it? plz plz

as you deleted the NTLDR yourself your main root folder files are missing.
to replace them is dead easy.

two ways, use the windows xp install disk, do not use the first repair option it gives you.
carry on with the install till it ask again.

or microsoft way.

this should work as its not overload in the folder its missing its files.

sorted it, i used my xp disk, cheers for your help.

just 1 more thing, do you know where i can get hold of a test engine for A+ essentials got my test in 3wks

off the top of my head i don't, i think there is software out that you need to pay for it.

best bet is goggle search for A+ essentials Practice Exam or A+ essentials mock exam, i am sure you will find something that way, may take a few searches but i would think there are a few.
