twain driver for canoscan d660u

Recently purchased new laptop and installed Windows 7. Tried to install Canoscan 660U, received message 'No twain driver'. Contacted Canon, they no longer supply driver for this device - referred to Microsoft. No luck there. Tried various sources but no assistance found. Can you help please?

If Canon haven't written a driver then you're not going to get it working, time to buy a new scanner

the only way you might get that scanner working is by using the windows xp driver and the Compatibility Wizard built in to windows 7.

now that being a older scanner i would think its a 32bit windows machine only.
if your running windows 7 32bit you can try the Compatibility Wizard.

I done alot of work over the years with vista and now with windows 7 trying to get older hardware to work.
have a read of this post i done on my site and see if it works for you.

i hate old working hardware wasted because mircosoft come out with a new version of windows.
