the driver are ok.
If you visit toshiba's web, they say that windows 2000 has the drivers...

Have you tried updating the driver?? By going to your control panel, then to System, then to Device Manager. Double click on your DVD-Rom so that you are now in the properties of it, then hit "Update Driver". Search through your entire system and that might fix your problem.
