I have done so much testing for microsoft windows vista that i should warn you.

I have come across problems with older video cards , onboard sound, onboard video, scanners and even some printers.

if your pc is running windows me or below don't bother upgrading to vista to be honest your just wasting your money.


to find out whats in your pc download and run everest home.

that little program should be able to give you a very good detailed list of whats in your pc.
call up your motherboard, cpu , sound, video, memory.

if you like post that info here and i will tell you if its worth your while upgrading to vista or not.

ok I am going to be honest.

stay with windows xp do not upgrade to vista on that system as it really will be a waste of money.

the sound blaster 5.1 digital does not work with vista m/s have not done any built in drivers and creative have no plans on doing one.

this is going to be a problem faced by many people over the next few months, do i upgrade or not.

for my money i would say no, if the system is running with no problems and it still doing what you want best to leave it that way.

If you take the eye candy away there's not enough in Vista to warrant most people upgrading
