DVD decoder for Samsung DVD, Win2000

I cannot get my DVD in my computer to play since I got my Win2000. Anybody knows about this decoderunit or decodersoftware to make it workk with win2000, it would be great.

It is a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-608. If anyone know where to find driver for this to Win2000, that would also be appreciated.

What software are you currently using?

I use PowerDVD which works fine under Windows 2000, you can download a demo copy from here :-

I have the same problem with my Samsung SD 608. I've got Win 98se and my dvd doesn't work even if it works for cd. I have reinstalled Windows many times but all in vain. I tried most of the DVD soft available. Please help me if anyone knows what can I do (it doesn't works even if I change the region code).

Does it appear in My Computer? if not check the jumpers on the back of the drive, if it's on a cable with another device set it to slave, if it's the only device on the cable set it to master.
