COMPUTER FREEZES

EVERY TIME I USE THE SYSTEM WHILE RUNNING A DVD OR A GAME USING LOTS OF SOUND/GRAPHICS THE SYSTEM FREEZES. tHE SCREEN LOCKS AND THE SOUND IS IN A LOOP. NOTHING THEN WORKS. I THOUGHT IT MAY BE A SOFTWARE PROBLEM SO FORMATED THE HARDDRIVE AND STARTED A FRESH. NO LUCK IT STILL HAPPENS. USING WIN98, KG7 BOARD, AMD 1800+, SB AUDIGY& ATI REDEON 8500.

Could be an interupt conflict, try moving the sound card to a different slot. Are there any other cards in your system?
