yes,it is. T he speakers are subwoofer 700 harmony

Sometimes the front and rear speakers, from the sound cards point of view, get reversed. Check the setting for you sound card and also try swapping the outputs on the back of the card.

Hard to say as we haven't established the cause of the problem. Obviously the hardware is Ok otherwise it wouldn't work under 98. Maybe have a look on
