hi.. my friend gave me a samsung cdr...

Hi there, hope someone can help, i havent installed a cdr before.
I have my computer 5 or 6 years and it has a creative dvd and cdrw
But they never really worked and even after repairs didnt work.

Well my friend gave me a samsung CD-Master 52E Model sc-152
I presume it's sc-152 not sl-152 i wrote it down quickly and wasn't sure.
Can anyone tell me what to do nexe, do i need a drives or anything else and how do i find and set these up please?

I opened my pc, took out the creative cdrw & put in the samsung instead.
Have nothing just the samsung cdr.

I noticed as well, i havent downloaded anything that might be needed for this samsung. i put a cd in and nothing happened, probably obviously.
I went to my computer, and usually there's cdrive, floppy drive, D drive and Q drive right?
Well there's no Q & D drives in there like there use to be?
I dunno what this means just something i noticed.
