I know this is a really old thread but i have the same drive. My problem is that my drive reads audio cd's but not dvd's. If i goto control panel/system and check my drive it says that it's the right drive, a DVD drive, but when i try to open the dvd using windows media player it says theres no disc in the drive and that it's a cd drive.
It's the same drive that came with my pc, and it used to work, but all of a sudden it's gone all funny on me. I've tried everything and even e-mailed the company, but on their website they don't even list the drive under their product list or driver updates.
Also their official forum for this doesn't exist anymore.
