Hi, I have WinDVD already, and it doesn't work. It says there's no disk in the drive (also, the drive is detected as CD-ROM for some reason). The disk is not the problem, as I can play that same disk in linux using xine, but I can't get it running in Windows. I've got Windows 98 SE by th e way.
I've downloaded this little program driveinfo22.exe from
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downl ... einfo.html
and when I run it it says there's no DVD drive in my computer. The documentation page:
http://www.remoteselector.com/driveinfo.htm
says that there could be a problem in the ASPI layer. Do you think this is the case???
Also, I found this other webpage:
http://www.vanwijk.com/-=%20Bookz%20=-/ ... #Heading14
where it says I need to install the DVD components in Windows 98, as they are not installed by default, which could be the reason why it's detected as CD-ROM and not DVD-ROM. The problem is that when I go point number 5, I don't have any DVD options there, so I can't install it. Where can I get these components???
Thanks!!!
