I have a Dell latitude 100L laptop, 2.4 gig celeron, 20 HD, 1024 RAM, Windows XP Home . . . when trying to play Windows media player, I get a message . . . "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly." . . . I have also seen a message box directing me to download the drivers at add/remove programs but there's no file there . . . I have found out that the sound system is Sigma Tel and I occaisionally get a beep from my keyboard when I press an incorrect key, but thats all the sound it makes now
