Can 256 SDRAM sticks be used in a SOYO 5EHM motherboard

I have fitted a 256m memory stick to my soyo 5ehm pcb but it is only being recognised as a 128m stick. My manual says that 256 sticks can be used to give a max memory of 512 (if using 2)

Is there a way I can make my board recognise the higher memory ??

Some boards only like single sided DIMM's i.e. ones with chips on only one of the sides, not sure whether that's a limitation of your board or not.

Have you tried updating the BIOS to the latest version?
