no drives are listed at intel for windows xp under audio on that chipset

did everest give you the full motherboard make and model number ?

to find that please do this.

in the left hand list click motherboard. then in that main window click motherboard again.

it should list your motherboard id string make and model there.

please post that info back here.

I have the same problem and got the same chipset as snowman, I notice he didn't reply to your last question, I would like to.

My motherboard comes up as:
Gigabyte GA-81G1000MK in Everest, and SEANIX81G10000MK in Belarc.

well if everest is correct and that is a gigabyte board the audio drivers can be found here.
