External usb 2.0 dvd cdrw combo

I am using win98se on a dell laptop. I have just purchased an external drive described above.
I do not have the make or model of this new drive.
Windows sees it, but it doesn't install the drivers for it.
No drivers came with this product that arrived from hong kong today.

My computer only has one usb 1.1 port.
I only want to read and write cd's

Can anyone help me identify this product and get the right drivers for it please.

made in china

After putting these numbers into google.......Think it may be IBM or lavern.#

Still no drivers though!

Yep it appears to be an IBM (Lenovo) drive but I can't find any drivers for it

Thanks for your reply.......I'm wondering if there are some generic/basic drivers that might get this puppy working. What do you think? I am still not having any real joy at this end. Did you figure out what model it is? Where should I go from here?

I have emailed the vendor but he seems in the dark too.

Is there any hope........
