Times computer

Been given a Times computer,minus memory,hard drive,dvd roms,floppy disc but has a Jetway motherboard.I have put in all the drives now,Pc133 memroy, now need to identify motherboard details,then instal windows on new hard drive. Have asked for motherboard drivers without thinking about what |I will do with them. Basically it will be a complete machine. Yours views, please.

what is the model number of that jetway board ?

what o/s did you hope to put on.

really need to know the following.

cpu speed , memory amount , video card.

finding the main motherboard drivers should not really be a problem as everest will tell you what the main chipset is in the machine.

The motherboard is a Jetway 663 AS Rev.1.0,the memeory is PC133 256x3,o.p system is Windows XP Prof.Unable to tell anything else, What is everest`?

download the full home version not the trail.

run that little program on the computer you want info from.

with that program open click motherboard in the left hand list then motherboard again in the big box.
post back with what everest tells you, i should be able to find the correct drivers for you.

The only problem I have that this is not running yet, nevermind being connected to the internet. I have only just connected DVD ROMS and hard drive,Floppy disc. Still several connections on motherboard need to be sorted. That is why I need to print out motherbaodr manual, Will the bios be automatically installed. Hopefull Dave

well i can't find 663 listed at jetway there is 663as and 663aspr

i would think the layout of these boards should be the same but check the board with the picture in the manual
to start you off in the right direction this is the manual download for the 663as

its a via based board so when your ready let us know and we will point you in the direction of the new via drivers as the jetway ones will be out of date.

don't worry about updating bios at this stage as we don't know for sure what the board number is and that is very important when it comes to bios.
best thing to do if you adding all new drives is to clear the cmos.
or just before you switch the pc on for the first time remove the battery from the motherboard for about five mins then replace it that will clear all settings in the bios and it will load its defaults when you boot.

ok going to need you to explan what you want to do with this motherboard.

does it have anything connected to it at all ?
does it need the front panel wired ?
