twain driver

Hi I am new to this site.
I have bought my son a digital camera but cannot download any photos as it is saying that cannot find Twain.
I have been onto their support site and have downloaded their driver but it has not worked.
The camera is a Sakar digital kidz camera.
We have always had a problem with having no twain. Also with a scanner we had. We tried installing windows again, but we wtill have no twain.

How are you trying to download the pictures?

What version of Windows are you using?

Did Windows detect the camera when you first plugged it in?

hi thanks for your prompt reply.
I am using xp home service pack 2.

When the camera was first plugged in, it came up saying that it was not recognised.An errror message followed saying 'hardware malfunction'.
Path twain 32 no support.

We have installed the disc that came with the camera. We were trying to download from there.We also noticed that on My Computer it did not recognise it either.

Is there a TWAIN or TWAIN_32 directory under your Windows directory?

Hi.
My husband has looked and apparently he has never been able to find anything to do with twain.
Hence the reason we could not support a scanner we recently had, because there was no twain support.

The drivers for the scanner/digital camera would contain twain support so it wouldn't be something you would need to install separately.

The account you log into the PC with is it an Administrator account or one with restricted access?

yes to log in to the admin account is username administrator at the main start up on windows xp.

you will also need to know the password for that account or it will not log you on.

I am almost 100% sure this is the same cam your trying to get working.

it may differ a little in looks but i think its the same cam.
you can try the drivers and have a read of the manual on it from this link.
